Character Key of the Day

Realize that you are not an employee but a business owner and you contract your services to the company to provide work they could not do themselves. Once you come to this realization you will discover just how important you are in what you do. Protect your brand, develop your product (you) and learn to negotiate how much you are paid for your services.

Success is Within You!

Everyone is born with everything they need to be successful in life.  We all do not have the same gifts and talents but we all have what we need to achieve and succeed.  Each person's unique experience will have a profound affect on which direction they choose to go as well as parental guidance and role models.  Our job as individuals is to locate the key to unlock the door of the hidden potential in our lives.  This requires deep soul searching into ourselves.   Many people do not invest a lot of time into getting to know themselves and discover who they really are.  In doing this is where we find the key and achieve success.  From there we must constantly invest in ourselves in order to reach our potential and fulfill our destiny.

Stop All the Worry

Worry can block you from achieving goals or breakthroughs in you life.  When you worry about things you are actually starting to believe that bad things that could possibly happen are true even though they have not happened.  Worry is based on fear which is the opposite of faith.  It is very important to train yourself to be as optimistic as possible and to also realize that even if the worst could happen it is not the end of the world.  Sprinters are trained to never look back during the race because it will cause them to slow down and lose the race.  The same is true in life.  Never look back at the things that worry you because it will cause you to lose focus and momentum.  Remember that faith is believing  that you goal or vision will become reality.

The Move to Life Satisfaction and Independence

Most people never become successful in life because they focus more on consuming things rather than creating things. We must learn how to create things of value that we can offer rather than just consuming the things others create and control.

How Low Can You Go?

What can be confusing is when you go to a construction sight for a tall building and you see them digging deeper into the ground. The reason they have to dig a deep hole is that the taller the building the deeper the foundation has to go. In order to be successful in our own lives we must be willing to go deeper in building our foundation of character and integrity so that we can go higher. Humility is willingly lowering ourselves to lift someone else where pride is the lifting oneself higher at the expense of others. In the game limbo the person who can go the lowest wins. So how low can you go? Jas 4:10 Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.

Being Authentic in a Copycat World

I was just thinking about how difficult it is to authentic in today's world.  Everyone is always jumping on someone else's bandwagon and calling it their own without being aware of it.  One of the things my mother said to me as I was growing up was that it was very important for me to original and to be my own person.  To develop my own style and to not follow the crowd.  I took her word for it and set out to do that very thing.  I realize that it is not possible to be original in every thing in life but it is important to be your own person and on your own terms.  I refuse to let someone else tell me what type of phone I should have or what clothes I should wear.  It is becoming evident to me that those who are not authentic are followers and are always influenced.  They seem to wait for the next big thing to appear so that they can copy it. Popeye had it right when he said, "I am what I am and I am Popeye the Sailor man."

A result of many people not being authentic is that they have learned to have others think for them in almost every facet of their lives.  Whenever you have someone else think for you they will always minimize who you are and therefore limit your potential.  The popular belief is that freedom comes with being financial able to what you would like to do but I say that freedom is being able to think for yourself.  The ability to think for yourself is liberating because you know that no one can ever limit you and can never hold you back.  Finally, things that are authentic tend to worth more than things that are not.  When you strive to be the real authentic you your worth increases and when your worth increases you can call the shots.
